I could think of to many ways to get hurt doing this. Not something that I would acually try (or reccomend anyone else try for that matter). However, I do agree; It's a dangerous world no need to make it worse.

This happened to one of Partons and Mrs.

Homeward Bound-Salute Our Troops!

It is with great regret that we must report the untimely demise of Specialist 5 Troop, the guardian of "Homeward Bound-Salute our Troops"Geocache, which he valiantly watched over for exactly 17 months.
Apparently his post was compromised by a muggle on 30 November 2008 who reported "Something-out -of-the-ordinary "(Ya Think?) a few hundred feet off Lovell Canyon road to authorities, who investigated his location.
Perhaps he was mistaken for a terrorist,as his I.D. was in the cache container hidden in his suitcase.
The end result was a one-way trip to that Great Geocache in the sky,via application of high explosives on 1 December 2008.
A memorial service in the form of a Cache event is in the planning stages for a time in the spring when we can all get together to say goodbye to the big dummy.

I never have any problem with law enforcement when I'm caching. If they are polite I explain about caching and show them a geocaching phamplet. If they are a little less than polite I show them my sheriff's ID

Always yield to temptation. It may never pass your way again.

LOL I guess the Sheriff's id would shut them up real quick.

I had the oppertunity (don't worry, it's normal) to speak with a Metro seargent about Geocaching today while I was at work. From what he said; He has never come acoss Geocaching during the course of his work. He has heard of it, but not in an official capacity. The knowledge he had seemed to be not more than the fact that an activity exsisted; and it used GPS. Sounds like there is no official viewpoint from local law enforcement in Clark County.
